This beautiful work was initially published in 1858. What is here on this page is a revision of the original work.

The version that this copy is from was the FIRST version which was published in 1858. Thus because of it being so old the copy that I used for this revision was in the Public Domain and no longer had a valid copyright associated with it. This revision also does not have a copyright associated with it.

I am very open in the ”FOREWORD” that I added to the Hymn Book of ALL the revisions that I was given to do. The biggest change was purely cosmetic (i.e., The songs are in a double-column layout between each Topic now) but some were minor spelling errors that were corrected. Again, I go over ALL of these and more in the Foreword.

I also have uploaded it to Lulu.com in four different bindings. If you go to Lulu and in the search put in ”The Baptist Hymn Book” you will receive a listing of all four below. You will only see the basic information like Hardcover, Paperback, etc. If you would like a specific version please use the “Project ID” number associated with the Hymn Book that you are interested in. The ONLY difference between the two Hardback versions is the color of the paper. For example: If you would like the Hard Back version with white paper. In the search put in “v8928j7” and the search results will be that specific book.

My apologies for some of the images. Some are not the best quality but hopefully you get a picture of what it is like nonetheless.

The first row includes three screen shots of three separate pages taken from the digital copy.

1. The first image is a page which shows the double-column for the songs.
2. The second image shows the songs as well with an emphasis on decorative border for the Topic Title.
3. The third image shows the first page of the “A Table of First Lines” index at the end of book.

The second row are images that I personally took from a copy of the book that I ordered.

1. The first image is a comparison between the Revision (left side) and the original (right side).
2. The second image shows the Revision (left) and my Zondervan Bible.

The third row are images that I personally took from a copy of the coil binding book and paperback book versions.

I didn’t include an image of the Paperback version open because it opens essentially the same as the hardback.

For those that are interested, here are the measurement differences between the three books being compared.

1. The Baptist Hymn Book – Revision 2024: 8 3/4 incheswide by 11 1/4 inches tall.
2. The Original “Baptist Hymn Book”: 4 inches wide by 6 inches tall.
3. My Zondervan Giant Print KJV Bible: 6 1/2 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches tall.
